The Republic of Singapore's official currency is the Singapore dollar. There are 100 pennies in it. To distinguish it from other currencies denominated in dollars, it is typically abbreviated with the dollar sign $ or the symbol S$. The Singapore dollar's banknotes and coins are produced by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. The Singapore dollar is the 13th most traded currency globally as of 2019. In accordance with the Currency Interchangeability Agreement between the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam, the Singapore dollar is also accepted as legal currency in Brunei. Similar to Singapore, the Brunei dollar is also commonly accepted there.
